Human Interface Technology Laboratory of New Zealand (HIT Lab NZ)

Operating since 2002, the Human Interface Technology Laboratory New Zealand (HIT Lab NZ) is a multidisciplinary research centre located at the University of Canterbury in the Faculty of Engineering. We are recognised internationally as a leader in Human Interface Technology research and education. Our mission is to support and empower people through the study, invention, development and dissemination of knowledge, technologies and processes that solve real-world problems and have positive global impact. HIT Lab NZ researchers are world-renowned for their expertise in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), AI, haptics, and applied games.
