dc.description.abstract | The following paper is divided into two parts. The first part looks at some recent trends and initiatives in pre-service teacher education in New Zealand and overseas with a particular emphasis on the literature relating to school-based teacher education. The second part outlines an alternative model of teacher education trialled at the Christchurch College of Education in 1993 and suggests some possible implications for the future of pre-service teacher training. | en |
