Abstract

This article introduces the term augmented artificial intelligence (A2I) to emphasize the integration of AI with human judgment and ethical considerations, proposing that if AI underpins the Fourth Industrial Revolution, then A2I should serve as the technology paradigm for the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
