The following report examines an internship with Howard & Company, a strategic investment and governance consultancy. The work completed by the student, in particular the management of a capital raise process for a health and wellness tech company, is described and the extent of learning associated is analysed. Tasks conducted within the internship included company valuations, business model development, investment documentation preparation, strategic reviews of businesses and research into the New Zealand investment community. Conclusions provided give an insight into the investment industry, and recommendations are given so as to guide future interns in similar roles.
