dc.description.abstractThe object of this investigation was to test some recent theories of the equilibrium behaviour of liquid mixtures. Much theoretical work has been done on this subject, but very few experimental measurements have been made on mixtures simple enough to be satisfactorily described by the models proposed. This work was undertaken to provide data for simple mixtures that could be expected to be reasonably well described by the theoretical models.en
