dc.description.abstract | The interaction network has been proposed as a way of representing interactive processing in a distributed system, and an interaction network monitor for SunOS was developed in earlier work. This paper describes development of an interaction network monitor for Amoeba, the first interaction network monitor for a distributed operating system. Case studies are used to show some of the types of information the monitor can capture, and to show that the monitor is a valuable tool for monitoring complex modern systems. | en |
