dc.description.abstract | Risk communication is a critical but sometimes neglected component of risk management, whether it relates to risks within an organisation, within a sector (e.g. public or private), or between an organisation or sector and other stakeholders. Poor communication, or no communication, of risk can lead to ill-informed decisions, over- or under-reaction to events, wasteful allocation of resources, and loss of confidence in systems and processes established to manage risks. This book aims to promote risk communication skills and techniques central to the effective management of risk. Skills that need to be better understood by organisations and individuals with risk management responsibilities. | en |
