This project describes many aspects of the submission and review of fire engineering design reports necessary to comply with the Building Act 1991 and New Zealand Building Code 1992 at the building consent application stage. The current common problems in fire engineering are highlighted in this discussion to bring awareness to fire safety designers. The purposes are to stimulate, provoke and challenge people who are committed to the fire and safety engineering of today so that improvement can be made in their submittal of the fire and egress reports for building consent application.en
