| Abstract: | Are you looking for ways to enhance student engagement but are constrained by large class sizes or traditional attitudes on what lectures should be? Then come along to this session where you will have the opportunity to redesign your large lecture theatre course(s) to incorporate active learning techniques. This session is for both U.S. and non-U.S. instructors who lack awareness about active learning in large classes (several hundred students), and would like to explore innovative and imaginative ways of converting the ‘sage-on-the-stage’ lecture theatre into one where debates, simulations, role plays, and games are the norm. |
