Natal, Brasil: XVI Congresso de Ensino e Pesquisa em Transportes, October, 2002. 57-68.http://hdl.handle.net/10092/282We describe a methodology for the location of a freight terminal of the Brazilian Postal and Telegraphic Enterprise (ECT) by using the Geographical Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS) and Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP). We propose that through this methodology urban characteristics, which affect the location problem of freight terminals, are considered.
