Christchurch, New Zealand: EEA Conference 2008, 20-21 Jun 2008.http://hdl.handle.net/10092/1682This paper outlines the concept behind taking the sun’s energy, concentrating it and then focussing it in two axes, onto a water cooled target. The steps taken to achieve this tracking control system are discussed, with a brief overview of the electrical and mechanical systems used. Preliminary results are given and a comparison made with results achieved from other more conventional static solar absorbers or collectors. Finally, recommendations are made as to the future use and deployment of the Solar Energy Tracker (SET).enSolar Energy Tracker 2008Conference Contributions - PublishedFields of Research::290000 Engineering and Technology::290900 Electrical and Electronic Engineering::290901 Electrical engineering
