An interconnected suspension system is proposed and analysed in some detail. The selection of suspension geometry to incorporate anti-dive and to restrict body roll is discussed and the rear suspension trailing arms are analysed. The general layout features a backbone chassis with batteries between the front wheels and beneath the front passengers, with the electric motors and rear suspension beneath the rearward facing rear passengers. Two alternative methods of construction are proposed and discussed, including the adaption of the A40 Farina bodywork.enCopyright Edgar VandendungenThe mechanical design of an electric town carTheses / Dissertations
