dc.description.abstractThe invention relates to single phase synchronous AC electric motors having a stator provided with a winding and a permanent magnet rotor. Permanent magnet reluctance torque is utilised to at least partially cancel the twice electrical frequency torque pulsation characteristic of such motors. WO 03/021753, PCT/NZ02/00172, 532017.
