Abstract
This paper intends to discuss two GIS-T applications, which use the Spatial Analysis to solve Transportation Problems. The first one is related with one of the Urban Transportation Planning phases, that is the Trip Generation. Using photointerpretation concepts and GIS, the land use patterns are identified and the number of travels are calculated for each case. The locational accessibility level of Public Transportation service is analyzed in the second application. It is concluded that GIS-T, in a spatial analysis approach, can significantly contribute to develop transportation analysis.
