Assisting World Wide Web Navigation
The rapid growth of the World Wide Web to the large collection of loosely connected pages of information it is today has accentuated the problem of getting "lost in hyperspace." Popular browsers do not provide the support needed to alleviate this problem. This report reviews work on this problem, and presents a possible solution in a program "RedBack" which was developed to investigate methods to support WWW browsing. The design and implementation of the program and issues arising from its development are described.
