Abstract

This book is concerned with an introductory study of industrial and natural hazards. Methodologies underlying estimation of the risk of unwanted events differ, as do people's perceptions of such hazards. The purpose of the book is to draw together views on risk assessment over a range of applications, with the aim of determining the best use of quantitative methods for evaluating typical hazards found in New Zealand.
