    Abstract

This report details a project undertaken with Medsalv as part of the Master of Engineering in Management degree. The purpose of the project was twofold: to upgrade the quality management system (QMS) and conduct an investigation into Australia and Singapore as possible overseas expansion options. The main purpose of the project was to upgrade the QMS to the level required for ISO 13485 certification, as well as change the framework of it to enable quality processes to be better distributed throughout Medsalv's business and thus used more effectively. The benefit of this would be to have the QMS embedded within Medsalv, instead of being a separate part of the business, and therefore adding value and not just being a cost.
