    Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide magniX with the information to assess the application of superconducting technology to the magnetic separation market as a viable commercial opportunity. Industry research was conducted to validate the market and identify the market need. Desk analysis was completed to assess the technical and economical feasibilities of a full-scale superconducting magnetic separator. At the date of this report it was found that the market for superconducting magnetic separators provided limited commercial opportunity to magniX. It was recommended that magniX should not pursue superconducting magnetic separation as a commercial avenue .
